On our Christmas tour through Bremen's Old town, you will hear entertaining and contemplative stories about Christmas, Advent and winter traditions – both from Bremen and other regions.
As we stroll through the historic city center, you will be accompanied by the tempting scent of roasted almonds, mulled wine and gingerbread. At the festively decorated stalls at the Christmas market, you will discover lovingly handmade Christmas decorations, cozy winter accessories, and many other gift ideas. The atmospheric ambience around Bremen's market square with the town hall, the Roland statue, and the cathedral will get you in the mood for Christmas.
Immerse yourself in the medieval flair of Bremen's Schnoor – the oldest and smallest district in the city. The narrow streets and tiny houses are decorated in a particularly festive manner during the Christmas season and offer a fairytale backdrop. Here we also take a look at the famous Bremen Christmas House (usually only from the outside – depending on the size of the group and the opening hours of the shop).
Böttcherstrasse, an architectural gem and unique brickwork masterpiece, is also a must-see on this tour. This special street has its own its own unique magic, especially during the Christmas season.
City history and sights are inclusive
Of course, the most important sights of Bremen's Old town are not neglected either. Throughout the tour, you will also hear exciting anecdotes and interesting facts about the city's history, its famous buildings and the historical background of Bremen—all embedded in a festive Christmas atmosphere.
Hot wine and gingerbread can be booked additionally
If you wish, you can book a warming mug of hot wine and a delicious gingerbread per person to go with your city tour - perfect for warming up a little in the winter cold and enjoying the Christmas market with all your senses.
The „Schlachtezauber“ at the Weser promenade
If you still have time after the tour, we recommend visiting the “Schlachtezauber,” a medieval-themed Christmas market on the Weser promenade. Here you can experience the Christmas spirit as it was in the Middle Ages - with jugglers, open fires, and craft stalls that bring the past to life.
